Freedom Walk
Each year, the National Japanese American Memorial Foundation serves as the main sponsor of the Cherry Blossom Freedom Walk, an official event of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

The objective of the Freedom Walk is to educate a new generation of Americans about the Japanese American experience during World War II. The event aims to highlight the vigilant role all citizens must play in preserving the constitutional rights of all Americans.

The Walk begins and ends at the National Japanese American Memorial located at the corner of Louisiana & New Jersey Aves., NW in Washington, DC. The Memorial represents not only a remembrance of the past, but hope for the future of our country.
